Who is responsible
Hotel Las Vicuñas is operated by Sociedad Comercial Ulrich Krause Gronwald y Compañía Limitada, Chilean tax ID 78.111.540-1, at Baquedano 80, Putre. For privacy questions or data-rights requests contact [email protected].
What data is involved
- Browsing: Cloudflare hosting and security services may process your IP address, time, browser, device, requested URL and connection information.
- Enquiry form: arrival and departure dates, guest count, room preference and tour or transport interests. These are processed temporarily in your browser to prepare a message. This website has no booking database and does not automatically send these details to the hotel.
- Contact: when you open WhatsApp, that service receives the text included in the link. When you send the message to the hotel, we receive its content and the account information WhatsApp makes available. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include.
- Subsequent booking: we may request only the information needed to arrange your stay, issue tax documents and meet legal obligations, through the agreed channels.
Do not include card details, passwords, identity-document copies or health information in this initial enquiry. Any additional request for information must explain its purpose.
Purposes and authorisation
Enquiry information is used to reply, check availability, prepare an offer and, if agreed, arrange your booking and payment. Processing relies on your authorisation where required or an applicable legal obligation or permission. The form checkbox covers handling your enquiry only; it does not authorise advertising or confirm a booking. You may withdraw it before opening the link or revoke authorisation by email, without retroactive effect or preventing legally required processing. Browsing does not constitute consent to additional purposes.
External services and tour coordination
- Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery and security.
- WhatsApp/Meta and email: used when you choose those contact channels. Email is available if you do not wish to use WhatsApp.
- Mercado Pago: the hotel supplies a link when arranging payment. Card details are entered on the payment platform, not this enquiry form. The hotel may receive transaction information needed to verify payment.
- Villa Volcán Tours: if you request tour or transport coordination, only necessary details will be shared with your authorisation or another applicable legal permission. Merely visiting this page does not share your conversation.
- Authorities: where required by law or a valid request.
Some providers operate internationally, so processing outside Chile may occur subject to their terms and applicable legal requirements. We do not sell enquiry data or provide it to advertisers. Links to Google Maps, Instagram or VVT open external services rather than embedded content.
Retention and security
Enquiry fields remain in the page memory while it is in use; our code does not save them in persistent browser storage. Sent messages and booking records will be kept only while needed to handle the request, fulfil the agreement, meet tax or legal requirements and resolve claims. Once that need ends, the information should be deleted or anonymised. Deletion requests are considered alongside applicable retention duties. Technical-log retention depends on the hosting and security service. No absolute security guarantee is offered: access should be limited to those who need it to handle the request, and we will not ask for banking passwords or verification codes.
Your rights and how to exercise them
You may request information about your data and its use, access, correction and, where applicable, deletion, blocking or objection to commercial communications. Email [email protected], stating your request and enough information to locate the conversation. Requests are free. Identity checks must be proportionate; do not send an ID copy by default. If retention is legally required, the reason and scope will be explained. Applicable statutory response periods and complaint routes remain available. The additional rights under Law 21.719 apply from its commencement on 1 December 2026, subject to its requirements.
